Genesis and Origin

Frac was founded by Japhet Lim and Melvin Tan with a vision to create a financial ecosystem where wealth flows freely and fairly. Recognizing the potential of blockchain technology, they set out to tokenize high-value assets like precious stones, metals, and intellectual property.

Starting in Southeast Asia, they expanded Frac’s focus to include tokenizing payments and transactions. Believing that for Web3 to thrive, it must be easy for Web2 users to adopt, Japhet and Melvin prioritized building consumer-friendly products and services. Today, Frac empowers businesses and individuals to fractionalize and trade assets securely and globally.
